Level 3 Applied Science is an exciting and rewarding course, designed to support students in vocational science and moving into the science-based workforce. The course includes practical work, lectures, discussions, internet research and access to library resources.
This course will develop students' understanding of chemistry, biology and physics and how this relates to real-life applications in a Science workplace. This course will include topics such as Principles and Applications of Science and Laboratory Techniques and their applications as well optional units such as Practical Chemical Analysis and Diseases and Infections.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

Assessment is a mixture of:
• External assessment by written exams, one in February, one in June
• Continuous assessment building up a portfolio of assignments throughout the course.
