You should have a full Level 2 qualification in IT or relevant professional experience in computing. Additionally, you must have at least Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths, though Level 2 is desirable.
Please note: All applicants will be assessed during enrolment to confirm the course is suitable for them.

At regular intervals during the course, you'll be assessed on both your theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. This will include online tests, written assignments and observed practical building sessions.

Completing this Level 3 course will give you the qualifications you need to advance onto a higher level of study. You could apply for university courses or enrol on one of our foundation degrees in Network Engineering with Administration, Computer Network Security with Ethical Hacking, Computer Systems Engineering and Software Development.

Learners can also progress on to degree-level study with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
