This T Level in Education and Childcare is a technical qualification, which will include high level core theory within the classroom environment, as well as having the opportunity to gain specialist skills within a childcare setting working within the industry.

Units include:
• Supporting education
• Safeguarding
• Health and Safety
• Wellbeing
• Behaviour
• Parents, families and carers
• Child development
• Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• English as an Additional Language
• Supporting the teacher to enhance children's education
• Planning, providing and reviewing educational opportunities in collaboration with teachers
• And much more.

Additionally, over the duration of the course, you'll also complete a mandatory 750 hours of work placements.

5 GCSEs must include grade 4 or above in English and Maths

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

You will be assess via a written examination and an employer-set project.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will be able to progress on to Higher Education (HE), with direct progression pathways with our HE partner, UCEN Manchester.
