(Full Time - 2 years)
T Levels are new courses, which will follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to 3 A levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work.
The Level 3 T Level in Education and Childcare is a technical qualification, which will include high level core theory within the classroom environment, as well as having the opportunity to gain specialist skills within a childcare setting working within the industry.
You have the opportunity to choose an occupational specialism in early years or supporting teaching and learning.
Every T Level will include an industry placement with an employer focused on developing your practical and technical skills, required for your future occupation.
This is fantastic opportunity for developing your practical skills, whilst studying at the number one college for achievement in Greater Manchester.
Additionally, over the duration of the course, you'll also need to complete a mandatory 750 hours of work placements.

GCSE English AND Maths in Grade 4 or above, plus 3 other Grade 4 or above qualifications.
Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
This course will be assessed by written examinations, employer-set projects and Occupational Specialism Component assignments and observations.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you can progress on to primary education at degree-level study.
If you progress with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester, The Manchester College students will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
Your T Level will be worth UCAS points. A T Level Distinction* is worth the same as 3 A Levels at A* – and will be recognised by universities and other education providers.
UCAS points will only be allocated to your overall T Level grade. You must achieve at least an overall pass grade to receive UCAS points.
