- Build the skills needed for roles in the digital and creative industries
- Develop knowledge in areas such as networking and cyber security, which are in demand across a wide range of careers
English and maths level 2 are desirable, and some background work or study in I.T./comouting is essential. Learners can be working towards English and maths L2 whilst studying this qualification. However, learners must have a minimum of L1 English, or equivalent.
The course is project based, and learners will work in small teams identifying solutions to work-based technical problems faced by organisations on a daily basis. Such issues may include how to; restrict access to confidential areas/platforms, effectively manage data and the communication of it, create and maintain networks, and how to protect users and the organisations with the implementation of a variety of security measures/protocols.
Higher education with UCEN in areas such as network engineering, cybersecurity, or computing.
- Professional certifications, including Cisco networking qualifications.
- IT apprenticeships in networking, infrastructure support, or cybersecurity.
- Employment opportunities, such as Network Technician, IT Support Technician, Junior Network Administrator.
