Course Details

  • If you are interested in Science and Engineering this qualification is the perfect start to your journey. It will provide you with a broad base of knowledge and skills required to study medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, medical science, combined science, medical health professions and engineering subjects at Level 3.

  • Entry requirements are a minimum of either grade D (new grade 3) at GCSE or Level 2 Functional Skills in both maths and English Language

  • This qualification is structured to support you in your journey to Level 3 learning in medical sciences and engineering. It contains a single mandatory unit and all other units are optional.

  • This qualification supports progression to further learning. It can help you to progress to the next stage in your learning journey through enabling you to develop skills that will help you meet the entry requirements of courses at the next level, for example: Level 3 Access to HE Diploma in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Combined Science, Medical Health Professions and/or Engineering with an aim of continuing to a degree in a related subject

  • This course is free to enrol on if you’re 16-18 years old, but if you’re over 19, you might have to pay a tuition fee for this qualification.
