This qualification provides students with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments.
The course covers a wide range of specialist support including; planning, delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice.
Applicants must be working at Level 2 Literacy, which can be assessed at interview, or have a Level 2 English qualification.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of assignments and observations of workplace practice.
Continuing Your Journey
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress onto Level 4 HLTA or Level 4 Foundation Degree in Childhood and Youth studies.Careers page
