If you are wanting to gain a wide understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school or college environments, then this course will be highly suited.
This course covers a wide range of areas including children and young people's development and supporting children and young people's positive behaviour and communication.

For 16-18 courses unless the course is a T Level or Foundation Year this isn't required
- Students will need a minimum Level 1 English qualification (GCSE grade 2 or above) OR be able to demonstrate the ability to write at this level at an interview.

This course will be assessed through assignments and observations of workplace practice.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, students can progress on to Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
