Support available over half term

During half term, the same high level of student support is available to students. All campuses will be closed from the end of the day on Wednesday 10 February and reopen on Monday 22 February. However, all the usual channels of support will remain available to students, including free school meals.

The competitions are only open to students on a full-time course over 10 hours per week. All decisions as to whether you have achieved 100% attendance are the sole decision of the College.

Next Steps for Adult Learners

If you wish to appeal a decision, you will need to put this in writing outlining why you feel the decision was incorrect and send to the Bursary Team within 10 days of the decision date. It will then go to an appeal panel and you will be informed of the outcome within 10 days. Travel Support (TMC Go) Depending on your personal circumstances and income you may be eligible for travel support through our TMC Go travel award.

Members of our School Liaison Team have also been out at COVID secure careers fairs, meeting the new cohorts of Year 10’s and 11’s. Camille and Ellie from the team had a great time at their first careers fair of the year at Reddish Vale High School. Supported Learning

Modified Papers – If you think you will require modified papers due to a significant Visual need, the deadlines for referral to the team are: September 10 th for exams in November, December and January October 10 th for all other exams This is due to external exam board deadlines and the significant amount of time required to create modified papers for each exam series.

Safely returning to campus - 16-19 students

For example, if your timetable doesn’t have a face-to-face lesson until a Wednesday then the first time you should return to campus is Wednesday 10 March.  Please note that if you are taking part in Covid-19 catch-up lessons these will continue to take place online. If these sessions are directly after a face-to-face session on campus, then you can do these remote sessions in the library.
