A 1500-word submission with supporting evidence was followed by a ‘virtual visit’ from the awarding Assessor Team. Around 20 delegates, their managers and senior leaders were all interviewed and gave evidence to the team, before the final report was submitted to HRH The Princess Royal to approve the Awards.

Support our Health and Social Care students’ Mission Christmas collection

Students from The Manchester College’s Centre of Excellence for Health & Social Care are supporting Hits Radio’s ‘ Mission Christmas ’ campaign, which collects new and unwrapped Christmas presents for children living in poverty across Greater Manchester. The Level 3, Group B students decided that, as part of their Volunteering Tutorial topic and in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, they wanted to help vulnerable children in the Manchester area.

The Manchester College officially open state-of-the-art technical education facilities in East Manchester

Over the past few weeks, it has been fantastic to see students’ excitement as they have started their educational journey in these facilities and it has been amazing to see them proudly showing off both the new facilities and their skills to the Mayor this evening. The opening of the new facilities at Openshaw comes less than 12 months before The Manchester College will open their brand new £95m four-story campus right in the heart of Manchester next door to the AO Arena.
