Care Experienced

At The Manchester College, we are committed to supporting all our care experienced students, ensuring they have access to the guidance and resources they need to succeed in their time at college.

The designated teacher will be the central point of contact and will help to promote the welfare and educational achievement of every looked after, and previously looked after child at the college.

All looked after children must have a Personal Education Plan (PEP). The PEP is a record of the child’s education and training. A PEP meeting will be held once a term where the child, designated teacher, social worker and any other support services will attend.

If you require support, please contact your designated teacher directly (details below) or speak to a member of the student support team in the Pastoral Hub.
