Business and Administration

This course is designed to provide a learner with the opportunity to develop their office-based business skills. It provides a platform for learners to build upon in preparation for work and/or to help improve career opportunities.

The course will consist of the following units;
• Understanding Business Organisations
• Effective Communication in the Workplace
• The Role of an Administrator
• Business Documentation
• Running an Event
• Numeracy Skills
• Improving Your Employability Skills
• Supporting Sustainability in the Business Environment

Level 1 English and maths are desirable however learners will be assessed on a one to one basis taking into account work experience and assessment of English and maths skills at enrolment.

All of your evidence will be submitted through portfolios which can include text, screenshots, annotation, recordings, observation of activities conducted, and role play.

Upon completion of this qualification, you will be able to progress to the next level Business course or branch off into another subject area. In order to progress to a Level 3 course, learners must have achieved a Level 2 English and maths qualification alongside their current study. Alternatively, the course provides a chance to develop key skills required for any office environment.

Most learners will be funded for this course but this does depend on personal circumstances. You will be fee assessed at enrolment.
