To provide learners with the fundamental skills required to confidently operate modern digital DJ equipment and traditional vinyl DJ systems, enabling them to perform a short, seamless DJ set using beatmatching, phrasing and thoughtful music selection.
By the end of the course learners will be able to:
-Identify the components of a professional DJ setup.
-Operate Pioneer XDJ-XZ and DDJ-400 systems confidently.
-Understand Rekordbox music preparation.
-Understand the principles of vinyl DJing.
-Perform basic beatmatching using sync and manually.
-Cue tracks accurately.
-Use EQs and channel faders effectively.
-Create smooth transitions between tracks.
-Curate an appropriate playlist based on tempo, energy and genre.
-Perform a short DJ set demonstrating the skills learned.
