Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures)

"Do you have a passion for how electrical systems work? Are you interested in learning more about building and maintaining electrical installations in machines and structures? If so, this Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations is the ideal course to begin your journey.

Throughout this year long course, you'll cover a wide range of areas within electrotechnical technology, as you develop the basic skills and experience you will need to progress onto an apprenticeship programme in this sector.

You'll focus on the principles of electrical science, laying the foundations for your practical skills, and have the opportunity to get hands-on and explore electrical installation technology. You'll also examine health and safety within buildings services engineering."

For direct entry to L2 Electrical Installation diploma, students must have a grade 3 in English and maths GCSE as a minimum, or Level 2 Functional Skills, or the equivalent of these. If you do not have these qualifications, we will carry out an assessment of your level in English and maths to verify you are capable of level 2 work.

Assesment will be through a mixture of practical task completion to required national standards, assignmment completion and online examinations.

After completing this Level 2 course in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures), you'll have a good, solid understanding of the electrotechnical industry and be well on your way to advancing your skills and knowledge even further.
