The Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up is a qualification that has been specifically designed to enable you to learn both aspects of hairdressing and media make-up.

This qualification will provide you with all the skills and techniques covering the following units;-
Health and safety practice in the salon
Client care and communication in beauty related industries
Applying make-up
The art of photographic make-up
The art of dressing hair
Create an image based on a theme within the hair and beauty sector
Body art design
Client consultation for hair services
Cut women's hair
Plaiting and twisting hair
Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
Make and style a hair addition

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

You will be on a course where assessment of practical observations supports your programme of learning.

You will build a portfolio of evidence and assessed continually through practical assessment, exams and assignments.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to progress onto either a Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special
Effects and Hair and Media Make-Up or any of the following Level 2 qualifications; NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General, NVQ Diploma in Nail Services, NVQ Diploma in Barbering
