If you have a passion for gaming, a keen interest in technology and an artistic flair, look no further than this Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technologies, which is focused solely on developing all the relevant skills for Games Development.

You'll be learning a variety of 3D techniques in modelling, texturing, rendering, and sculpturing, as you design, animate and develop characters, assets, environments and large-scale levels! Using the state-of-the-art software and the latest techniques, you'll be developing your skills and abilities to industry standards.

Throughout the course, you will enhance your knowledge in a number of different areas, including creative writing for games, design for virtual reality, digital painting, motion capture and games engine production (using Unreal and/or Unity Engines). You'll be working to live briefs on big projects, getting a real insight into the industry and building all the skills you'll need to succeed in the future!

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

There are a number of different units on this two-year course, and along with the final major project, each will be assessed via different methods.

This will be a combination of both practical assignments and written tasks, with a focus on research and problem solving skills, planning and production, and evaluation and reflection. We'll also use modern technologies for assessment, such as audio recordings, screen capturing and interactive presentations.

Progress on to degree-level study with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship. Click Here to explore courses and apply.
