If you're thinking about a career as a plumber and would like to start developing your skills in this industry, then this Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing is the perfect place to begin. You'll cover all the basics of plumbing and start building up your knowledge for success.

During the course, you'll learn about a wide variety of areas within plumbing and domestic heating, as you develop your skills and a solid working knowledge of the industry. You'll look at the basics of hot and cold water supplies and focus on sanitation as a core part of your role as a plumber. Part of the diploma will also include health and safety within building services and engineering.

Although this diploma will not enable you to work as a fully qualified plumber initially, it will give you the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 qualification with us.

For direct entry to L2 Plumbing, students must have a grade 3 in English and maths GCSE as a minimum, or Level 2 Functional Skills, or the equivalent of these. If you do not have these qualifications, we will carry out an assessment of your level in English and maths to verify you are capable of level 2 work.

Assesment will be through a mixture of practical task completion to required national standards, assignmment completion and online examinations.

When you have completed this Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing, you'll have a good foundation of skills and knowledge in the industry to enable you to advance onto the Level 3 Diploma with us at The Manchester College and take your abilities to the next level.

You'll also have the opportunity to transfer onto a number of other construction related qualifications too, as you continue on your journey towards a successful career in the construction industry as a plumber or another related role.
