This qualification will help students develop a good understanding of the Construction industry and working in the Plumbing sector.
You will learn how to work safely in a practical environment and start to develop the essential technical skills and professional behaviours needed for working as a Plumber.
At the end of the course, you will be able to measure and cut a range of materials accurately, joint and solder copper pipe, joint plastic pipe of various sizes and produce frames with different materials to within required tolerances.
You will also learn how to select tools and equipment, and use correctly to install various bathroom fittings.
You will attend an interview with a Plumbing tutor and complete BKSB English and Maths assessments at Level 1.
This qualification is assessed through a series of online tests and practical tasks.
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will possess the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress onto a Level 2 Plumbing qualification or an intermediate apprenticeship.
