If you’re dreaming of owning and running your own salon and are ready to develop your skills in this area further, then this Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management is the ideal course for you.
You’ll learn exactly what it takes to be a successful salon manager, covering all the skills and knowledge you’ll require for the hair and beauty industry. Focusing on developing your management skills and technical abilities, you’ll look at how to ensure effective health, safety and security in the salon, as well as how to keep excellent client care at the forefront of your business.
Throughout the course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about sales management in the hair and beauty sector, how to run your salon on a day-to-day basis and how to communicate effectively with staff and customers. You’ll also be able to develop your skills and expertise further with a range of optional units to choose from, including salon design, marketing, IT and data handling, hair colour correction and how to manage the creation of a hair style collection!
If you’d like to enrol on this Level 4 Salon Management Diploma, you’ll need to have either a Level 3 qualification in a hair and beauty subject, or significant experience working in this industry. You should also have a Level 2 English qualification as well.
How will I be assessed?
As part of the assessment for this qualification, you’ll need to produce a portfolio of evidence, which will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills you’ve learnt during the diploma. This will include observed work, witness statements, audio-visual media, written and oral questions, assignments and case studies.
Continuing Your Journey
When you have completed this VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management, you’ll have an industry-recognised qualification that will demonstrate your skills and expertise and allow you to pursue a salon management role in the hair and beauty sector.Careers page
You’ll find there are a number of career opportunities to choose from, including management work in beauty salons, hair salons, nail concession stands in department stores, spas and on cruise ships! You could also plan on setting up and running your own salon business and could even continue onto a Foundation Degree in Make-Up Artistry if you wanted to further your skills and expand the services at your salon!
