UnTaPped: A Must See Theatrical Festival

The festival showcased the students creative talents, ranging from contemporary dance, devised theatre and comedy to live art, intermedial performance, bouffon clowning and even mind-reading – all performed through ensemble and solo work! Over the course of the two days, audiences enjoyed devised performances by first, second and third year TaP and third year DaP students from our impressive performing arts department, while basking in the feel-good Manchester sunshine.

This has been one of many industry experiences that allow our students to shine in a professional environment. Charlotte Swindels, Head of Performing Arts at The Manchester College, said: “Not only did this documentary shine a light on an important issue that is all too prevalent in today’s society, it also allowed our talented Acting and Performing Arts students to work with industry professionals and gain experience in a unique setting.”

180 Seat Theatre named in Honour of Wyllie Longmore at City Campus Manchester

He was also a familiar face on screen, appearing in Coronation Street and Love Actually. Beyond his performances, Wyllie’s dedication to theatre saw him serve on the boards of the Royal Exchange Theatre, Contact Theatre, and HOME arts centre in Manchester.
