This course offers a comprehensive and practice focused introduction to Architectural Technology, designed to prepare students for the dynamic and evolving construction sector in England and beyond. Students gain a strong foundation in architectural design principles, building technology, construction processes and digital innovation, enabling them to understand and influence how buildings are conceived, developed and delivered. Emphasis is placed on developing enquiring, solutions-focused thinkers who can operate confidently across different functions, respond proactively to change and navigate the complexity of modern construction projects.
Learners explore the transformative impact of emerging digital technologies such as BIM and data-driven design on contemporary practice, preparing them for technologically advanced workplaces. The course aims to develop adaptable, culturally aware and professionally confident graduates ready to contribute meaningfully to the future of architectural technology and the wider built environment.

Student to attend an interview and assessment to determine their suitability and capability. Mature applicants (aged 21 or over) who are able to demonstrate relevant skills or knowledge gained in employment or vocational activity will be considered and may be invited to interview.

Assessments are carried out via assignments that will take on different forms depending on the unit you will be studying. These will include written reports, essays, research, design projects, portfolios and presentations.
