Our fun cakes, bakes and treats course is perfect for beginners and baking enthusiasts who wish to learn the essential skills and tricks from the trade to improve their skills.
Whether you work in a bakery, hotel, restaurant or are just an avid enthusiast, The Manchester College can offer the perfect course to provide you with the skills and knowledge to be successful within the hospitality and catering industries.
This will be a 10 week evening practical course. Initially you will learn the wide range of ingredients and equipment used when producing cakes, bakes and treats. Secondly, you will put your skills into practice and produce delicious treats, ranging from chocolate brownies, Victoria sponges, flapjacks to cookies and tray bakes.
The only qualifications we ask you to have when enrolling on this course are Literacy and Numeracy at an Entry Level 2 or above.
Beyond that, all you need is a passion for cakes, bakes and treats.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through a variety of in class assessments and practical activities.
