This qualification will help students develop a good understanding of the construction, carpentry, and joinery sectors. You will learn how to work safely in a practical environment, and develop the professional behaviours needed for working as a joiner.
By incorporating English and maths into your carpentry and joinery course, you will develop the literacy and numeracy skills that are important for the occupation, such as estimating material requirements and pricing of work. At the end of the course, you will have developed the essential technical and employability skills needed to progress onto a Level 1 or Level 2 course.

This qualification through a series of paperbased tests and practical tasks.
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will possess a variety of skills to enable them to build, repair and maintain the country's housing stock.
If you want to advance your skills and abilities further, you could continue onto a Level 1 or Level 2 Diploma with us here at The Manchester College.
