Certificate in Creating a Business Start Up - Febuary start

This qualification will provide learners with the opprotunity to learn how to start and run a business. They will learn how to analyse their own skills and compare them to those required of an entrepreneur. They will then investigate how to manage the essential legal, marketing and financial aspects of the business to avoid mistakes that can be very costly for any business owner.

Level 1 qualifications or equivalent in English and maths would be desirable, however, all learners will be initially assessed to determine suitability for this qualification.

You will work towards completion of a business plan based on a business idea you decide upon.

Additional evidence will be collected and produced along the way to help develop this plan.

You will be encouraged to work towards achievement of English and maths at level 2 if you haven't already attained them alongside a level 3 business related course. We offer an Access in Business course over one year that is designed to gain entry into university upon completion. To enrol, you must have L2 English and maths or equivalents.

For the vast majority of our learners, this course will be funded for you, and therefore no costs incurred. However, each enroller will be fee assessed to ensure that this is the case, otherwises payment will be required.
