The City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation (450) is designed for students aiming to develop the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in the electrotechnical industry. Throughout the course, students will gain hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge across a range of key areas, including electrical science principles, system inspection and testing, and electrical fault diagnosis. Learners will engage in practical activities using industry-standard tools and equipment in dedicated workshops, building essential skills in safety, problem-solving, and technical accuracy. This course is an ideal stepping stone into employment or further training within the electrical sector.
5 GCSE's at grade 4 and above including Maths and English.
You will be assessed through a written exam and a synoptic assessment, which will test your knowledge and practical skills across the key areas of the course.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can progress to the Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation, which is a key step toward becoming a fully qualified electrician. Alternatively, they may choose to enter full-time employment as an electrician's mate, gaining valuable on-site experience within the industry. This course provides a strong foundation for a range of career paths in the electrotechnical sector.
