If you are looking for a career in the creative and digital sector then this course will give you the skills that you'll need to succeed. The skills covered by the course have been chosen to reflect the demands of working in motion design and animation. We've put employment-focused skills at the heart of the course so you can confidently apply for creative and production jobs right after finishing college.
The course is partnership with Flow Creative a multi-award winning creative studio based in Manchester. Flow Creative specialises in animation and moving image production. Flow tell their clients stories in an interesting and effective way through creative use of design and animation. They engage audiences across platforms with compelling story-telling.
Four GCSEs at grade 9-4 or A-C, including English or a Vocational Level 2 equivalent. Learners who do not have a Maths GCSE at grade C or above will need resit the Maths GCSE in addition to their course.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through written reports, blogs and diaries, sketchbooks, portfolio development, image creation, design solutions, audio-visual recordings, one to one feedback and interviews. There are no exams connected to this course. Students overall grade will come from the final project assessed by tutors and moderated by the exam board at the end of each year.

On successful completion of the course you will be awarded the Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology.Careers page
Successful completion of this course can lead you to a wide range of higher education courses, Foundation Degrees and BA Degrees. You may also be able to enter employment directly or join an apprenticeship or higher apprenticeship scheme.
Students studying on the course can go on to have careers in a variety of industries. These could include Animation, VFX, Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Advertising, Concept Art, Illustration, Packaging Design, Magazine Design and Publishing, and Production Management

If you’re 16-18 years old, without other Level 3 qualifications, you won’t have to pay tuition fees for this course. There may also be funding available for those with other circumstances or those over 19.Fees, finance and funding page
