This course has been designed to help you develop key transferable skills that will support you through your educational journey and into a career in music production.
With a hands-on approach, you'll explore all of the basics of studio recording, including how to record and mix a multi-track recording and use a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) to create and remix music.
You'll learn to create your own beats using industry standard software such as Logic Pro as well as the basics of DJ technology using equipment used by industry professionals.

No formal qualifications are required but you will need a genuine interest in music production.
There are no formal assessments for this course.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to progress onto the Level 2 in Music Production at The Manchester College and gain the skills required for a career as a Studio Engineer, Composer, Producer or DJ.Careers page
