If so then our Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles is the ideal course for you to continue your journey.
Building on the knowledge and understanding you've learnt on a previous Level 2 course, this diploma will help you advance your abilities even further and focus your skills on more specialist areas. Working both in the classroom and in workshop in practical sessions, you'll explore a range of engine management systems and component faults, dissect electrical auxiliary equipment and component faults, and learn how to repair issues with a chassis.
You'll also further your experience and awareness of health and safety in the workshop and around the office, and develop a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities in each department of a dealership or garage. This will help you apply for a number of different positions in the future and engage effectively with prospective employers.
You must have and IMI level 2 in motor vehicle and a English qualification
On this qualification there are 8 online exams with pass score of 60% also there are 10 practical assessment you need to complete, All the level 3 quafications also have 4 assignments that are 1000 words to describe the diagnosis process in a 3 step method with this mind you need to use a computer with Microsoft applications
Once you have successfully completed this Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 course, you'll have strong knowledge and understanding of the automotive sector, giving you a good advantage for your future career.
You might wish to apply for apprenticeships in the industry, or continue onto further, higher level qualifications. You can also choose to progress on to degree-level study with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
