Performing and Production Arts - Dance and Musical Theatre pathways available - January Start

Want to develop your performing skills and learn more about the subject you are passionate about? Then this course is for you. During this 20 week course you will study a variety of skills and techniques to introduce you to the Performing arts industry. You will be able to choose from either Musical Theatre or Dance. You will be introduced to different aspects of the business and will work from both choreographed material and create your own pieces.

Projects you will work on may include:
- Technique development and research
- Taking part in a variety show
- Exploring jobs in the industry

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

Assessments for this qualification will be made up of both theoretical, written coursework tasks and also practical performances or demonstrations of your practical skills. Some units will be externally assessed.

Upon successful completion of this qualification students could progress on to the Level 2 Diploma in Performing arts or potentially the Level 3 Performing Arts qualifications at The Manchester College (dependant on grades and interview/ audition process)
