Lyndsay delivers again

It was a double celebration for The Manchester College student and mum of seven who celebrated the birth of her daughter Poppy Delia Rose Hassettt along with a grade 6 pass in GCSE English, and passes in Level 2 Social Sciences and Humanities and Functional Skills maths. Lyndsay, 30, from Ashton, now plans to study Level 3 Diploma in Humanities at The Manchester College and ultimately aims to become a history teacher.

As well as being an original cast member of the popular TV series, the Salford-born, mum of four runs several businesses including Skulpt Clinic, which provides a range of non-surgical treatments, and Skulpt Academy, where beauty technicians can train.

Altom enters industry and starts dream career after ESOL course

While studying full-time for the past three years, completing his ESOL Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, Altom also studied programming with local charitable organisation, Code Your Future . All that hard work has now paid off as Altom has secured a full-time job as a Software Engineer at Stockport company Dai .

To degree, or not to degree? That is the question

Apprenticeships can last from anywhere between 1 and 6 years. The length will depend on the level of apprenticeship, as well as the employer. For example, some level 3 apprenticeships can last 18-24 months, whereas a level 6 (degree) Solicitor apprenticeship will last 5 to 6 years.
