Patrik’s industry ready after year-long placement

The Manchester College and PureGym Get Students Employed

Stuart Nickson, who is Head of Department for Sport, Public Services and Criminology at The Manchester College, added: “By the time they start their placements, our students will have already delivered personal training sessions in the state-of-the-art sports facilities at our Openshaw Campus, so they’ll arrive at PureGym with a good level of experience. Stuart explained: “This initiative is all about helping our students transition smoothly into the fitness industry and making them ideally prepared to be interviewed for roles such as Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach.

180 Seat Theatre named in Honour of Wyllie Longmore at City Campus Manchester

In addition to The Longmore Theatre, City Campus Manchester is also home to five double-height multi-purpose rehearsal studios with semi-sprung floor suitable for practising various modes of dance and performance; a double-height performance assessment studio with semi-sprung floor and stunning views out over the city and a single ensemble room and a 1-2-1 singing room. A second studio theatre with access to all the associated facilities completes the performance space. To explore some of these amazing facilities, book a place on our next Open Event.

Students' achievements recognised at annual awards ceremony

Students' achievements recognised at annual awards ceremony - Staff and students from across The Manchester College recently came together at the National Football Museum for the College’s annual Student Awards, to celebrate the incredible achievements of students from across the College over the last academic year. All student finalists were nominated by either a member of staff or a fellow student before a panel of judges then shortlisted the best nominations in each category.

The Manchester International Festival takes place biennially, showcasing the works of dozens of artists from all over the world. Other festivals to check out include the Manchester Jazz Festival and Manchester Literature Festival, held in July and October respectively.
