Students At Openshaw Campus Raise £600 for Children in Need

Tutors Holly Hawkes and Stephen Helsby said: These fundraising activities gave learners the opportunity to collaborate with their peers in and outside of the class, and we were proud to see learners make new friends and solve problems to overcome obstacles during their activities. The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester receive £2.8m to reduce carbon footprint

To achieve Greater Manchester’s commitment to becoming a carbon neutral city region by 2038, the College is committed to reducing emissions in line with the GMCA's ambitions. This includes the brand new city centre campus becoming zero carbon by 2028. The £2.8m grant secured by the College comes from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS), funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and delivered by Salix Finance.
