Planning for your future
From October
Progression reviews are your opportunity to discuss your next steps and plans for the future.
The reviews take place in your 1-1 with your Achievement Tutor / Personal Tutor and you’ll need to let them know what you’re thinking of doing in September and whether you’re progressing to the next level of study, changing to study a different subject or course, joining UCEN Manchester or another higher education institution, or moving into employment or an apprenticeship.
You can start researching your options by going to visiting our Careers and Jobs page where you will find information on course options and employment opportunities.
In addition, if you are Year 13 (17 or turning 18) you should be booking your mandatory careers appointment with the Careers Service.
If you’ve told your Achievement Tutor / Personal Tutor you’d like to study a different subject area then your new subject area will be in touch. They’ll provide you with more information about the area and course you’d like to study and invite you to any interviews, auditions or taster days you'll need to attend.
