This hands-on course covers a wide range of practical beauty techniques, ensuring you develop the skills needed for further study or entry-level roles in the industry. You'll complete a mandatory unit in Creating an Image Based on a Theme, allowing you to explore creativity in beauty design.

Additionally, you'll enhance your expertise by completing additional units including: Basic face painting, Basic nail art, Eyebrow shaping, Basic skincare, Basic photographic make-up, Basic manicure, Basic pedicure.

Through further additional units in this qualification, you will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of; Working in the hair and beauty industries, Health and safety, Client and customer skills, Promoting and selling products and services, and Create retail display areas.

Your learning will be structured through a series of engaging and interactive modules, including:

UC06 – Creating an Image Based on a Theme
UC09 – Following Health and Safety Practices in the Salon.

You will be expected to gather evidence of both the practical skills and underpinning knowledge for each unit you
study and create a ‘portfolio of evidence' for the qualification. You will be assessed continually through practical assessment and assignments.

This qualification provides progression opportunities to the following qualifications:

Level 2 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing
Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
Level 2 Diploma in Media Hair and Makeup
Level 2 Certifcate in Barbering
