Beauty Therapy

The VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as a junior beauty therapist. This qualification is designed to support you to gain employment as a junior beauty therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.
This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a junior therapist including, mandatory units covering the following: facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure, pedicure, client care and health and safety.
You will also have the opportunity to further develop your understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: the application of tanning techniques, applying make-up and instruction on make-up application, reception duties and displaying stock to promote sales.

Learners are required to have achieved a previous level 1 beauty qualification and are required to have grade 4-9 in both Maths and English

You will be assessed through written assignments, online exams and practical observations.

You may progress onto a Level 3 qualification in beauty, nails or hair and media make-up

Learners will be required to purchase a kit and uniform at a combined cost of £200. You may be eligible for a bursary towards the cost of your kit and uniform.
