The Great British Bake Off has created a passion for all things cake related. If you love baking and want to learn how to produce a range of cakes, bakes and treats, then this is the course for you.

This highly practical, 6-week part-time course is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike and will give you the skills and knowledge you need to produce delicious chocolate brownies, Victoria sandwiches, flapjacks, loaf cakes, a range of cookies and different tray bakes.

Whether you're thinking about setting up in business making cakes, bakes and treats for special occasions, you work in a bakery, hotel or restaurant, or you're an avid enthusiast, this is the perfect course for you to develop your skills and knowledge

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you should have a passion for cake making and the enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge.

There is no formal assessment for this course. You will develop your practical skills throughout the six weeks as you learn to make cakes, bakes and treats.

Once you've completed this course, you could progress on to our Level 2 Patisserie and Confectionary course or broaden your knowledge further with one of our courses on cupcakes, cake decoration or bread bakery.
