Overview
This qualification will help students learn the technologies and skills relevant to the current demands of the computing and digital industry. Areas covered by this course include introductory networking, web scripting, cloud computing, graphic design and application development, as well as introducing object orientated programming for the first time.

Entry requirements
Applicants will need to have at least four GCSEs at a Grade 3 or above including English or Maths. A pass at vocational Level 1 or NVQ Level 1 may also be considered as an equivalent to GCSEs.

How will I be assessed?
Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of portfolios and examinations.

Continuing Your Journey
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress onto a Level 3 Computer Science & Digital Technologies course. Students can also use this qualification to develop a career in the computing, IT and creative sectors.
