Forklift Truck Driver Training

On our Fork Lift Truck (FLT) course we'll help you to develop the skills you'll need to start your journey to a career as a professional fork lift truck driver.

On the course you'll study for a Level 1 Diploma in Logistics as well as an Entry Level 3 Certificate in Professional Development.

The qualification will last three weeks for beginners or one week if you would like to undertake refresher training.

You'll learn how to safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck and how to conduct a daily walkaround check on an FLT vehicle.

You'll also develop an understanding of new technologies in the industry and learn about the legal requirements of ensuring an LGV is compliant in current legislation.

The course will prepare you for your future career with a range of transferable skills, helping you to understand the careers available in the logistics industry, explore your current skill set and construct your CV ahead of a role in the industry.

If you'd like to be able to drive a FLT vehicle on a highway then you will require a full UK or European car licence. If you only wish to drive a FLT vehicle on private land then there are no entry requirements for this course.

You'll be assessed through a variety of methods including written, verbal and peer assessments as well as practical training and assessment.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you'll have the opportunity to progress onto to become a fork lift truck driver, reach driver or telle handler.

The cost of this course is £450 for the three week beginner course or £180 if you wish to undertake the one week refresher.
