Nail Technology

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed nail technician. This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including: providing and maintaining nail enhancements, manicure treatments, health and safety and client care.

Learners will also develop their understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: pedicure treatments and nail art. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 1 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

You will be assessed by written assignments, taking online exams and practical observation of performance.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to progress onto VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Nail Services and VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies.
