If you're currently a qualified internal quality assurer but would like extra support or a refresher on current IQA practice, then this one-day update course is the qualification for you.

You'll focus on the assessment processes and practices in internal quality assurance, looking at the role of the IQA in learning environments. You'll cover what should be in a sampling plan and different methods of sampling assessor decisions.

As part of the short course, you'll also learn how to provide relevant feedback to assessors, and how to keep effective records.

To enrol on this course, you'll need to be a qualified internal quality assurer already. You should have superb verbal and written communication skills, and we'll ask you to attend an interview before offering you a place.

There are no formal assessments for this course.

Once you have completed this update course, you'll have refreshed your knowledge and expertise and be able to continue your role as an internal quality assurer competently and confidently.

As you develop your experience, you may wish to apply to awarding organisations to become an external quality assurer. Or you might prefer to work towards a teaching qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training here at The Manchester College. Either way, you'll enjoy a rewarding career in the education industry.
