Noel Gallagher is one of the more recent Greater Mancunians, who posed outside India House, Whitworth Street where he used to live and where he wrote the first two Oasis albums, as he explained, “India House is literally ground zero in the story of my musical life. I moved into a flat there with my then girlfriend around 1989 ~ broke and bored! By the time I left in 1993 I’d joined my little brother’s band and had written Live Forever and Rock ‘n’ Roll Star!”

Squad Goals, Student Support on Campus

We talked to Marie to get a greater insight into the type and level of support you can expect when you come to study at The Manchester College… How many members of support staff are there at the College? There are over 90 members of staff within this great support team, based across all nine campuses and, this academic year alone, they have provided support services for over 6000 of our amazing students.

BTEC Results update

We would request that students do not ring the College to discuss results until after 5pm on Tuesday 1 September, as we will not be able to provide updates over the phone until Pearson has completed the awarding process. We fully appreciate that this is highly frustrating for all students that have worked so hard during their studies. As a College we share these frustrations but are working hard to ensure all students receive their grades as quickly as possible.

Support available over half term

Support available over half term - The usual means of support are available to all students. During half term, the same high level of student support is available to students. All campuses will be closed from the end of the day on Wednesday 10 February and reopen on Monday 22 February.

Update following new lockdown restrictions

As such there are no changes to your current timetable associated with lockdown and it is essential that you continue to attend all your lessons, whether they be face-to-face or on-line. We will though be making the following changes following Government advice: You must now wear face coverings in all campus areas – including the College libraries.
