The full-time, 12-week programme is available to 16-25 year olds who aren’t in education or employment, with the aim of boosting your confidence, help you meet new friends and gain new skills. The Angel of Angel Meadow

Liam, Founder and Owner of Manchester’s creative consultancy Lazarian, whose clientele include; John Lewis, Rimmel London, Nestle and Virgin media, oversaw the community project that involves students from across Greater Manchester. Students visited the company’s design studio in Denton and worked alongside Liam and his team, experiencing first-hand the process of the design process through to construction.

Help is at hand from super tutor Gary

Gary will be travelling to Pen-Y-Garnedd in Wales over the Easter holidays to help a fellow tradesman Peter Cape, a 46 year old plumber and BoB volunteer, who found himself wheelchair-bound after suffering serious injuries in December 2018. Band of Builders visited the Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery students in December 2018 to talk about the work they did and the online ACT (Apprentice Training College) group, which allows students to share construction projects and receive professional advice.

Students win national television award

He has already found himself immersed in the world of television, recently working on Happy Valley series 2, new ITV comedy drama Brief Encounters, and the new series of Cold Feet. The Switch was nominated in three categories at this year’s national awards – Undergraduate Comedy and Entertainment, Camerawork and Sound – and is testament to the quality of work produced by The Manchester College film and television students.
