Creative media students shine in skills competitions

We are really proud of the students who represent the college at such prestigious and difficult events Tanner Squire won a place in the semi-finals of the WorldSkillsUK 3D Games Art Competition, which will be held at South Thames College.  Ryan Taylor also did very well but just fell short of a top 20 place.

The Manchester College rated number one in GM

The NARTs position the College as number one for overall achievement rates, with a pass rate of 94 per cent , placing us in the top ten per cent of all 180 colleges in the UK; and in the top five highest performing colleges nationwide. Student take home first place in Warpaint Makeup Championships

The event includes live conferences, networking opportunities and the Lash, Nail as well as the Warpaint Makeup Championships where The Manchester College students claimed their prize. The category is awarded to the college whose students perform the best across all categories, accumulating the most points for their college. Top of the class for marketing students - Marketing students at The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester are top of the class after receiveing exam congratulations from awarding body the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Following their "excellent performance" in the July 2018 assessments, the professional body officially congratulated students at both establishments and praised their results.

Students hit the fashion runway with their designs

The designs reference the mixture of Indian, Chinese and Malaysian culture that combines Singapore’s social makeup, with the print incorporating the lotus flower in a nod to both Buddhist and Hindu religion.
