‘Try, try, try’ – student’s gold medal joy at World Skills UK

This is Kirsty’s third competition success this academic year. She also won third prize for freehand nail art in the AHT regional finals and second in the national finals, competing in advanced nail design. Work as hard as you can. If you want it, you’ll get it.

Animation student's Manchester Publicity Association Award

Katy commented: "Lily is creative, motivated, and incredibly resilient and has embraced wider opportunities. The Manchester College prepares for the ECFA Men’s Premier Cup Semi-Final

“We have relationships with a number of professional and semi-professional football clubs, so if our learners knuckle down, train hard and put in the required performances, there is a real chance they could be scouted and play football full-time.” Our College has three football teams competing in ECFA competitions and training takes place on three evenings each week.

Students' achievements recognised at annual awards ceremony

Finalists got the chance to take two guests with them to the event, and throughout the night they were treated to delicious food and incredible student performances from the winners and runner-up in this year’s student talent competition. The night was expertly hosted The Manchester College’s Katrina Ahuja, a Level 1 Business student from our Harpurhey campus alongside JJ Lewis, an Acting student at the Arden School of Theatre, part of UCEN Manchester.

Linda Keller (UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology) and Will Seymour-Murphy (UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology [Digital Art and Animation] travelled to London to see their work on show. Linda created a photography series about Manchester’s buskers and street artists.
