Taxi Knowledge

On our seven week Taxi course we'll help you to develop the skills you'll need to start your journey to a career as a professional taxi or private hire driver.

On the course you'll study for a Level 1 Diploma in Logistics as well as an Entry Level 3 Certificate in Professional Development.

You'll learn everything you need to know to pass the Manchester City Council Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Knowledge Tests and how to conduct a daily walkaround check on a Hackney carriage or a private hire vehicle.

You'll also develop an understanding of new technologies in the industry and learn about the legal requirements of ensuring a taxi is compliant in current legislation.

The course will prepare you for your future career with a range of transferable skills, helping you to understand the careers available in the logistics industry, explore your current skill set and construct your CV ahead of a role in the industry.

Applicants will require a full UK or European car licence held for a minimum of twelve months.

You'll be assessed through a variety of methods including written, verbal and peer assessments as well as mock knowledge tests to prepare you for the Manchester City Council Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Knowledge Tests.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you'll have the opportunity to progress onto to become a taxi or private hire driver.
