Sports student plans to use international experience as a springboard to career success

Wil said: “Getting to meet and compete against people from different countries is such a great experience and one that I never thought I’d have.” Speaking about how he got involved in lacrosse, Wil added: “My passion for sport started with football really like most of my classmates. This is also important, as quite often these people may not want you there. You need to be able to communicate and engage with people from all social and economic backgrounds, being aware of diversity and equality. You also need a high level of resilience as you would often be working alone, dealing with scenes of crimes in all forms.

Automation and its effects on the labour market

The findings from the ONS research went on to look at job growth and decline with those occupations at high risk of automation. The research found that in some occupations where you may expect to see job decline, there was actually growth. EMSI produced a report on Automation using labour market information to determine what effect it could have.
