Visual Arts student contributes to city-wide art trail

The trail runs until Sunday 31 August 2025 and features 48 guitar artworks, nine musician-donated guitars, four brand-new murals, two show-stopping installations and lots more. All of this aims to celebrate the people, places, moments and instruments of Manchester’s music scene. With a Visual Arts course at The Manchester College, students can follow their passion and work towards a career in one of the fastest-growing employment sectors in the UK.

Visual Arts students deliver successful pop-up studio at Northern Quarter creative hub

The pop-up featured a vibrant mix of handmade jewellery, cyanotype prints, crochet pieces and original paintings, all created by the students. The work reflected both their individual talents and the high-quality teaching, facilities and support available at the further education provider.

From The Manchester College to Abu Dhabi – countdown to WorldSkills 2017 begins

The competition takes place from 14 to 19 October in the UAE. In March, all those on the training programme will come together at four venues:  The Manchester College, Stockport College, Trafford College and Training 2000 to compete for the once in a lifetime opportunity to represent the UK in their skill at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.
