Attendance  Attendance Management is a distinct element of developing students’ Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours, thus contributing to personal development and employability. High levels of attendance correlate with higher levels of progress and success on a student’s programme of study. It runs in parallel to the Disciplinary procedure.

To encourage this we give students access to software called BKSB which assesses your current level and sets you tutorials to help you improve. During your induction you will be asked to complete a Diagnostic Assessment to help see what level you are currently at.

The Manchester College celebrates Pride 2020

Amanda Sillett, Head of Student Support, Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity at The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester said: “For a number of years, staff and students have taken part in Manchester Pride, showcasing our amazing outfits, #exclusivelyinclusive logo t-shirts and our magnificent sparkly decorated float. In 2019, over 14,000 people took part in the parade and over 25,000 spectators filled the streets with rainbow colours and glitter.

The Manchester College Work Experience and Placements

They are a mandatory part of some Study Programme courses, including T Levels and the main features include: 45-60 days in industry, with at least 315 hours on placement A designated role with an employer 3 reviews during your placement and mentoring support throughout As you can see, an Industry Placement is a significant undertaking and you will be prepared in advance through your Employability Hour and will be matched to a suitable role and employer.
