Our Employer Partnership and Skills team support employers throughout this process, which is typically managed via our Grofar system.  Our goal is to make these health & safety checks as quick and easy as possible, while ensuring a robust and thorough process is followed.   We greatly appreciate the support employers provide in hosting our students for work placements, and our dedicated Employability Team is here to assist you with these requirements.

Gary crowned Joiner of the Year

Alongside his teaching, Gary is also part of the Band of Builders (BoB), a self-described ‘movement’ of tradespeople who undertake construction projects for families who are going through tough times. Band of Builders visited the  Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery  students in December 2018 to talk about the work they did and the online ACT (Apprentice Training College) group, which allows students to share construction projects and receive professional advice.

The Manchester College Support National T Levels Week

There was excitement in the air at both celebrations, which took place in the College’s state-of-the-art sports facilities at its Openshaw Campus and main theatre at the College’s brand-new City Campus Manchester, a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Manchester city centre. Students will wear the branded apparel they were given, which is tailored to each course, when they attend classes and take part in work placements with the College’s employer partners.

Creative and Digital Media Students Chosen for Exhibition

Described by her tutors as an “exceptional artist, both digitally and more traditional”, Alicia has produced high quality 3D game character concepts and models, which is as tough as it gets in the Game Art world! Tutor Katy Rushton said: “We are super proud of the students for being selected. They have created some amazing work under very difficult circumstances and it’s so lovely to see them recognised by our awarding body and be part of these prestigious events” Furthermore, student Patrik Kancsar will have his work shown during the live event at 5pm on Friday 23 July.
