Grace Gets Called on for a Great Cause

Grace has high-functioning autism, which means she is an independent adult, but also has significant traits of the condition. She said, “Having high-functioning autism, means I can see both sides of the coin. From the outside, I understand how complicated and unpredictable autism can seem for the onlooker. However, I also understand how isolating and unnerving handling the condition is, and the stigma that comes with it.”

Students Behind the Curtain of Stage Show Cilla the Musical

Jessica Baskind, Year 2 Acting student, said: “Seeing my teacher Paul on stage was awe-inspiring. Knowing that I have teachers that are in the industry makes me want to learn from them even more. “Getting a behind-the-scenes look made me realise how much work goes into a production and I'll never forget this experience.”

Equality and diversity calendar competition raises funds for charity

Of the 13 winners, 12 received £50 in vouchers and the overall winner, Abasse Furtado, won an I-Pad Air. Copies of the calendars are now available at the College’s campus reception desks and cost £1. Proceeds will be donated to the charity, MIND.

You can register to vote up until 11.59pm on Tuesday 26 November , but anyone wanting to register for a postal vote, or for a proxy vote, must do so by 5pm on Tuesday 26 November. The City is our Canvas

In total, 200 of College’s students responded to the live brief and 26 have been chosen to work with Jack Arts and designer Craig Oldham during the project’s final stages. The final collection will be exhibited on Wednesday 4 March at Manchester Art Gallery with the 26 fly posters also available for sale in the gallery gift shop at £4.50 each.
